Saxthorpe and Corpusty
Saxthorpe is a small village within the parish of Corpusty. It is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1085. The Church of St Andrew, just a few yards up The Street from The Cottage, is a Grade I listed building. The water mill on the River Bure, not far down The Street, dates from before the Norman Conquest though the current building is more recent.

The village of Corpusty lies just over the river, accessible by the road bridge or the path behind the mill. Corpusty has a large village green, a village shop and off licence open 8 to 8 every day (with a post office between 9 and 12 except for Sundays), an art gallery, and the Duke's Head pub for drinks.
Saxthorpe is an ideal base for visiting the beautiful North Norfolk coast, walking or cycling in the undulating countryside, visiting historic houses or ruined castles or shopping in the Georgian market town of Holt. In Alysham you can visit the popular sales at Key's auction rooms and bid to your heart's content.
